Portugal Travel Guide
Portugal is a year round destination. Although many may prefer the Portuguese summer, the non-touristy and off season November felt perfect for our trip.
The Algrave coast has so much to offer. Many tourists just come here for some winter sun, but in my opinion, Portugal has much more to offer year round. The includes hiking, eating gorgeous food, exploring old towns and chatting to the locals.
As you wander the old towns, keep an eye out for “Azulejo’s”, which are beautiful ceramic tiles that light up the building of Portugal!
Tips:
Car Rental: We landed in Faro (south of Portugal) and rented a car for about £5/day (another advantage of travelling off-season).
Best town on the south coast: Lagos
Top activity: Portugal is full of amazing hiking off the tourist track.

The lovely town of Tavira.

Hiking and exploring!

Algarve coast in autumn.

The beautiful ceramic tiles in Lagos.

Tucked away villages.
